MY LIFE OF PURPOSE

Does anyone lack in wisdom, let him ask of the Father who gives freely unto those who ask of HIM.

I just scribbled as I was inspired yesterday afternoon. Please enjoy and be in-turn inspired and do share your knowledge with me.

Opening quotes
"Anyone who recognises and respects principles and values can never be undermined in life."
Greatness knows no face."

Your purpose is what you where designed to be, your vision is the path your choose to live out your design and your mission are the actions you take to fulfill your purpose
Your purpose is always towards someone, some people or something. Effectively your purpose is always towards affecting people and making positive change.

WHAT IS PURPOSE? Simply put, your purpose is what you where designed to be. [Your calling]. And to find this out you need to ask your designer.
I don’t believe your purpose itself solely or directly starts and ends with you and you only. Your purpose is always to a people, a cause, a nation etc.

Jeremiah 1:5 clearly emphasises this point
5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

I also believe the choice to live out your purpose will be made solely by YOU. Choosing to live out your purpose can leave a legacy even long after you are gone.

WHAT IS VISION? Your vision is the path you choose to live out your purpose. Many a times your vision emanates from
1. a strong desire towards a cause
2. a defined calling
3. a chosen path of career (e.g. your purpose could be 'BUILDING LIVES' and your vision CAN BE to start a charity daycare centre for young adults or to start up an financial institution that trains middle age men and help them to regain skills and fit in back into employment etc) You can see how this vision emanates from something you have developed a desire for, either to create, change or affect lives.
4. Also another factor that could play a role to your vision is your exposure to life. Starting an animal campaign or an activist movement for underpaid single mother’s is not something I would do personally but it might be someone else’s desire due to their upbringing and exposure or experiences in life.

To come up with your vision, you must invest in knowledge and education because by so doing you gain insight and revelations, your draw up strategies and approach. I recommend taking profile and personality tests (e.g. Belbin test, wealth dynamics and creation tests etc), you can read books, attend seminars etc.

Habakkuk 2:2 clearly emphasises this point
2 Then the LORD replied:
"Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald may run with it.

When you take these kinds of test, you get a clear revelation of yourself, your passions, how to streamline your energy, maximise your strengths. You can easily write your newly discovered visions boldly and run with it. And others who see it and believe in you can then do the same.

WHAT IS MISSION? After you have discovered your purpose and defined your visions, Mission are clear points of actions that you implement tirelessly, consistently, fervently and continuously in order to live out your purpose.

And the greatest point of action is found in the book Joshua 1:8

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Like I mentioned earlier, the choice to live out your purpose is solely made by YOU. You make that choice, nobody else will and from the scripture above you will find that every point of action starts with YOU or YOUR.

WHAT IS GOAL? Goal is projected state, position or attainment that a person plans to achieve. A personal or organizational desired end-point in some sort of assumed development. Many people endeavor to reach goals within a finite time by setting deadlines.

WHAT IS PRINCIPLE? Principles are set, defined rules or ways that guarantees to always brings result each time applied. Many principles are revelations and only discovered through diligent studies and observations.
Some of recommended principles
THE HOLY BIBLE – this whole book is filled with principles to life and how to succeed etc.
THE SMART principle – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Real and Time oriented. (Google to learn more)

WHAT IS VALUE? Value is set upon your principles, set ways you have become accustomed to doing things. For example I base my values of orderliness on the principle found in Ecclesiates 3:1-8.
I base my value of success on the principle found in Proverbs 22:29

POINT OF ACTION
*Take time out to seek GOD; discover your purpose.

*Take time out to seek GOD; get clear vision for your life. Start to think hard and deep about the things you have developed a passion for. Either to change or to create. For some it may be recycling; ask yourself why is there so much waste in Africa and no state of the art recycling plants.

*Build yourself up with knowledge; begin to set out clear missions. Start going to school to train yourself, start saving up to buy tools and equipment for the trade, rebuild your credit in order to qualify for loans and grant to start that business.

*Break your missions into goals
Start to apply the SMART principle to your goals and the BIBLE principles to your life.

Please share your thoughts and knowledge with me.
